The Neuron Regeneration working group, which is co-led by Jennifer Morgan (MBL) and Kathryn Maxson Jones (Princeton) but also features Fabio de Sio (Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf) and Pamela Imperadore (Association for Cephalopod Research in Naples), recently presented posters at the 2019 Society for Neuroscience (SfN) annual meeting in Chicago, IL. The posters formed a historically themed linking group, and were presented to interested visitors on Saturday, October 19. The posters were entitled: “Experimental organisms, neuron regeneration, and the curious case of the lamprey in the history of the neurosciences, 1960-present” (Maxson Jones and Morgan); “Neurons in context: Neuronal regeneration and disciplinary struggles in the first half of the XX Century” (de Sio); and “Tissue regeneration: Cephalopod contributions over more than a century” (Imperadore and Graziano Fiorito). All three abstracts can be found in the 2019 SfN Meeting Planner.
