Stem cell regeneration group leader, Lucie Laplane, and her collaborator, Carlo Maley (Arizona State University), recently published a perspective piece in Nature Reviews Cancer, challenging the evolutionary theory of cancer. Their work identifies the limit of the clonal evolution model of cancers and offers solutions to overcome these limitations.
